The visitor information center for Faith is the Faith Chamber of Commerce. We are located at 205 E. 1st Street, Faith SD. Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. We also have a gift shop located in the Faith Line Historical part of the building as they share it along with us. Stop in and check it out.

Prairie Dog Hunting

This is a list of possible prairie dog hunting locations in our area. This list is as current as possible but some of the names have been on the list for some time and we have no idea how many dogs, if any, are left at any location.

You might also check the Faith phone book when you arrive and call some of the numbers with a 739, 748, 985 (a little further away from Faith) prefix. Ask them if they have prairie dogs and if they would allow you to hunt on their place.

It is also possible to hunt prairie dogs on the Cheyenne Indian Reservation. Their office is located in Eagle Butte, 40 miles east of Faith. The Reservation border is located one mile east of Faith, so it is possible to home-base out of Faith. They sell licenses for $75 and have thousands of dogs. Please contact the Reservation Game, Fish & Parks Office at 605-964-7812 or 7813, for more information about this.

You may camp at the City Park on the south end of Main Street for $10 a night. We have the Prairie Vista Inn at 1-888-508-2343 or 967-2343 and the Branding Iron Motel at 967-2662. There are also a few individuals in town or on ranches who have rooms available for rent.
